Director of Project Management
Our client is looking for a Director/Project Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have fabrication experience in industrial, commercial and institutional projects. The candidate will report to the general manager.
Strategizing and Analysis• Determine key initiatives within the project management department to align the company for success• Responsible for ensuring the company’s projects are delivered on time and meet the highest quality standard• Strategize and utilize team resources to deliver exceptional results to clients• Analyze all Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and develop and execute plans to address deficiencies• Analyze, recommend and implement improvements to ensure customer satisfaction
Leadership and Development• Mentor and develop the project managers focusing on consistency in process improvement, department discipline and effective leadership• Develop standardized training regimen for department and client success• Oversee, supervise and coordinate activities of project managers• Conduct team performance reviews• Implement development plans for improving team performance• Guide, educate and train all team members on project process and company procedures• Act as an escalation point for any unresolved issues that arise within department• Act as key liaison between Sales, Account Managers, clients, department leaders and production teams to ensure expectations are being achieved• Serve as lead communicator of information for key issues and projects including production, design and development and sales• Support continuous improvement initiative• Complete any other assignments deemed necessary by management in order for the company to function properly
Project Management• Complete project management from assisting in design concept and development, product research and specifications• Establish critical paths• Estimate and prepare cost estimates• Prepare material take-off• Issue purchase orders• Manage several projects simultaneously
Technical Knowledge• Collaborate skillfully• Lead people and teams• Agile
QUALIFICATIONS:• Minimum 10 years experience of project management/leadership experience ideally in a manufacturing environment• PMP Certification required• BA Degree required, MBA preference• Able to read CAD drawings• Able to multi-task with a strong sense of urgency in a fast paced environment• Able to conduct evaluations, assessments, and analysis of new projects• Cost estimating experience• Strong and effective communicator• Strong customer service skills and ability to create and maintain client relationships• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written• Exceptional planning, time management and organizational skills• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office Suites• Project management software experience
