Labourer

We are hiring Labourers for our client in Ajax. This position is temporary with full-time hours, Monday to Friday. This position will become permanent for the right candidates with the opportunity to train and learn more skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Sort metal parts, scrap metal and other material
• Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale and other materials from surfaces of metal products
• Loading and unloading materials
• Clean machines and immediate work areas
• Assist metal fabricators with different tasks
• Grind and chip excess metal from metal products using hand or power tools
• Transport raw materials, finished products and equipment throughout shop manually or using powered equipment

REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous sheet metal experience an assert
• Previous warehouse experience an asset
• Able to read a tape measure
• Secondary School diploma required
• HVAC industry experience is an asset
• Good manual dexterity
• Good eyesight, able to assemble small parts
• Able to sit or stand for extended periods
• Candidates must wear CSA approved steel toe footwear
• Candidates must have their own transportation

 HOURS: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm

RATE OF PAY: $15.00 per hour
