Our client is a high technology company that has been operating in the Bowmanville area for nearly 50 years.

This position is full time on the day shift.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have practical experience working with mechanical systems
• Able to operate lathe and milling machines
• Have prior industrial experience
• Have basic plumbing knowledge
• Have basic math skills
• Be comfortable working with computers (Excel, Outlook, Word, Skype)
• Be familiar with CAD or 3D printing
• Be fluent in English (oral and written)

What you will be doing:

• Machining and resurfacing worn tools
• Performing routine maintenance on production equipment including oil changes
• Helping build basic jigs and fixtures
• Assisting in equipment repairs
• Maintaining roof drains and controlling waste streams
• Changing fluorescent lights
• Keeping maintenance logs up to date
• Ordering materials and tools as needed
• Maintaining a clean and organized workspace

Hours: Monday to Friday 7:00am until 3:30pm
