Junior CNC Operator
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior CNC Operator to join our clients’ dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating CNC machines, ensuring precision and quality in the production of components. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of CNC operations. This position is for a two-week contract.
Duties
- Operate, and maintain CNC machinery to fabricate custom wood parts and panels according to project specifications.
- Load/unload materials, secure workpieces, and change tooling as required.
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy, quality, and conformance using calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety procedures and company standards.
- Understand blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM files to ensure accurate execution of machining programs.
Skills
- 1-2 years of experience in a woodworking or architectural millwork environment preferred
- Experience in high-end commercial and/or institutional wood millwork.
- Hands-on experience Thermowood CNC machines; familiarity with SCM is a plus.
- Knowledge of woodworking tools, techniques, and materials (solid wood, P-Lam, veneers, MDF).
- Familiarity with CAM software is a strong asset. ability to work independently or in a team setting.
