Do your labourers have their own PPE?

Yes. Every GHRC construction candidate arrives with the “Basic 3”: CSA-approved steel-toed boots (Green Patch), a hard hat, and a high-visibility vest. If your site requires specialized gear (e.g., fall arrest harnesses, respirators), please let us know in advance so we can coordinate.

Are your Traffic Control Persons (TCP) certified?

Absolutely. We specialize in this niche. Our TCP staff are trained in house on the principles of OTM Book 7 to manage lane closures and public safety effectively.

What is your policy on rain delays or weather cancellations?

We understand the weather is unpredictable. If you need to cancel a shift due to weather, we typically require 2–4 hours’ notice to contact the staff before they travel to the site. If staff arrive and are sent home, a minimum call-out charge of 3 hours applies as per labour laws.

Do you service Union or Non-Union sites?

We fully respect the jurisdiction of organized labour. While we primarily focus on non-union residential and commercial projects, we can support unionized sites only when your Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) explicitly permits it—typically when the local union hall is unable to fill a call. We will never knowingly supply workers to cross a picket line or violate a CBA.

Can your staff use power tools?

Our General Labourers are restricted to hand tools and manual labour for safety and insurance reasons. If you require staff to operate power tools (drills, saws, grinders), we would classify that as a “Skilled Labour” or “Trade Helper” role and ensure the candidate has the appropriate experience and safety training.
