What is the minimum contract length for a temp?
We are flexible. Our minimum is 3 hours per shift (to comply with Ontario Labour Laws regarding reporting pay), but we can assist with assignments ranging from a single day of coverage to indefinite long-term contracts.
How much notice do you need to fill a position?
Ideally, we appreciate 24–48 hours of notice to secure the best possible candidate. However, for general labour and warehousing roles, we often fill “same-day” or “next-day” orders using our standby roster.
What if a temporary worker isn't a good fit?
We are committed to quality. If you are unsatisfied with a worker’s performance, please notify us as soon as feasible. We will immediately access our standby pool to arrange a replacement as quickly as possible to ensure your operations continue smoothly.
Who handles WSIB and payroll taxes?
GHRC is the legal Employer of Record. We manage the payroll, remit all taxes (CPP, EI, EHT), and cover WSIB premiums. You have zero administrative liability for these government remittances.
How is overtime billed?
We adhere strictly to the Employment Standards Act (ESA). If a temporary employee works beyond 44 hours in a week (or your specific industry threshold), overtime rates apply. We track this automatically and will detail any overtime hours clearly on your invoice.
