We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Construction Labourer to join our client’s construction team for a 10 week contract. This is a hands-on construction role involving concrete demolition, surface preparation, material handling, and general site support. The ideal candidate is comfortable performing physically demanding work, using hand and power tools, and working safely in an active construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform concrete chipping and demolition using hand and power tools.
• Move, load, and dispose of concrete rubble and construction debris.
• Operate grinding equipment to prepare and restore concrete surfaces.
• Assist with epoxy levelling, floor preparation, and coating applications.
• Lift, carry, and move construction materials, tools, and equipment throughout the worksite.
• Assist skilled tradespeople and supervisors with general construction duties.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
• Follow all site-specific health and safety procedures.
• Properly wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform other general labour duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous construction or general labour experience is preferred.
• Experience with concrete work, demolition, grinding, or floor preparation is considered an asset.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Physically capable of performing repetitive lifting, carrying, bending, and manual labour throughout the shift.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a construction crew.
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
• Must be comfortable working in an active construction environment.
• Must have appropriate construction workwear and required PPE, including CSA-approved safety footwear.
