Pay: CA$24.50-CA$24.80 per hour
Job description: We are looking for a Forklift Operator/Order Picker to join our client’s team in Vaughan. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the product collection within the warehouse; duties include gathering items to prepare for shipping, completing the corresponding paperwork for the order, and assisting with inventory movement throughout the warehouse. We are currently hiring for the afternoon shift.
This position is full-time, candidates are required to work 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts to move materials and products within the warehouse efficiently.
- Perform order picking tasks, ensuring accuracy in selecting and preparing items for shipment.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage orders effectively.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and meet distribution deadlines.
- Lift heavy items as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Assist the general public when needed.
Qualifications
- Valid Forklift Operator license
- Secondary school (high school) diploma or equivalent
- Order picking and/or RF scanner experience is an asset
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Able to perform repetitive tasks
- Reliable transportation to work (public transportation is not available)
- SD (static dissipating) steel toe boots
- Ability to work either the day or afternoon shift
Hours: Monday-Friday Day Shift: 6:00am – 2:00pm Afternoon Shift: 2:00pm-10:00pm
