We are currently seeking friendly, dependable, and professional Banquet Servers to support weddings, private events, corporate functions, and other special occasions. This is a part-time position primarily working evenings and weekends, with approximately 10–20 hours per week depending on scheduled events.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet halls and event spaces, including tables, chairs, linens, place settings, and décor.
• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional customer service.
• Serve food and beverages during weddings, corporate events, private functions, and other special occasions.
• Carry and clear plates, glasses, cutlery, and serving trays safely and efficiently.
• Assist with buffet setup, food replenishment, and breakdown.
• Monitor tables and promptly remove used dishes and glassware.
• Maintain clean, organized, and presentable dining and event areas.
• Work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, event coordinators, and other team members to ensure smooth service.
• Respond to guest requests and refer concerns to the appropriate supervisor when required.
• Assist with event setup and teardown, including moving tables, chairs, and event equipment.
• Assist with post-event cleanup and preparation of the venue for upcoming events.
• Follow food safety, health and safety, and workplace procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Event Manager or Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Previous banquet, catering, restaurant, serving, or hospitality experience is an asset.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Friendly, professional, and positive attitude.
• Dependable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Able to lift, carry, and move event-related equipment and supplies as required.
• Professional appearance and strong attention to detail.
• Must have flexible availability for evenings and weekends, with occasional holiday availability.
• Smart Serve certification is an asset, particularly for events where alcohol is served.
